My step by step project on : tapering pants

Hello all my crafty peeps!  It is time to take down some out dated flared leg pants and turn them into some usable capri pants that will look great for a casual groove.
1. lay out the pants and decide which way is best for accurate tapering.  I find that if I fold both pants over with out seams together I get the best results and it's a ton easier.

so then I just mark around the new pant onto the old ones with tailor's chalk.
I prefer using a serger since it will stitch, cut and finish off the seam all in one step.  I love to get a long straight stitch going so so so therapeutic!

Then I hem the paint with a simple straight stitch and they are ready to launder to removed the chalk, iron and wear!  I think this is a dressy casual look with a sweater and flats I'm ready for anything!!!
